Since childhood, Mich\u00e8le Turcotte has been interested in nature and curious about humanity\u2019s place in the planet\u2019s ecosystem. He took an immediate interest in the Appalachian Corridor and the conservation of natural habitats.<\/p>\n\n
As a city councilor (2009\u20132013) in Saint-\u00c9tienne-de Bolton, and later as mayor until 2021, she had the opportunity to get to know the organization better and to appreciate several collaborative efforts that benefited the municipality. She has also been involved in the MRC Memphr\u00e9magog’s environmental, cultural, and land-use planning committees.<\/p>\n\n
Professionally, she has notably served as a portfolio manager at the provincial agencies Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de D\u00e9veloppement Industriel\u2014which later became Investissement Qu\u00e9bec\u2014 after having served as director of administration at the Agence qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise de valorisation industrielle de la recherche (AQVIR) and as a program officer (women\u2019s issues and community organizations) at the Secretary of State, a federal ministry.<\/p>\n\n
