Thanks to the generosity of our many donors, we have raised over 98% of the funds needed to protect this priceless treasure from development. The project is worth $16.4 million; today, only $225,000, or less than 2% of the project\u2019s total value, stands between us and achieving our goal.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9908 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.corridorappalachien.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/20241112_Briere_Localisation_BRGU-4446_eng_page-0001.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"444\" height=\"343\" title=\"\">This 540-hectare natural gem, located in the southern Quebec municipalities of Sutton and Potton, is part of the iconic Northern Green Mountains. It plays a key role in promoting biodiversity and ecological connectivity for the entire region. (\u201cEcological connectivity\u201d refers to the ability of species to move about, and natural processes to flow freely.) Saving this forest is crucial to protecting a rare, strategic habitat that is home to several at-risk wildlife and plant species.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SEIZE THIS ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY BEFORE WINTER\u2019S OVER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The deadline for reaching our fundraising goal is March 31, 2025. If our final push is successful, this crucial piece of land, which is so important for the ecological health of the entire region, will remain in its natural state for generations to come.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>98% of the project&#8217;s total amount has already been raised; as of today, we\u2019re just $225,000 short of our $16.4 million target.<\/li>\n<li>If Corridor Appalachian can reach its fundraising goal by March 31, 2025, Guy Bri\u00e8re, the landowner, has committed to donating part of his land, worth a whopping $7.4M!<\/li>\n<li>The For\u00eat Bri\u00e8re is home to over 250 at-risk plant species and 10 endangered wildlife species.<\/li>\n<li>This project is aligned with global commitments to protect 30% of the world\u2019s land and ocean by 2030.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DONATE NOW AND HELP PROTECT NATURE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not too late to be a part of this crucial conservation initiative.
