Photographer Charles Dion to donate a portion of his profits to Appalachian Corridor<\/p>\n

Appalachian Corridor is pleased to announce a unique partnership with Eastern Townships photographer Charles Dion. Passionate about nature and committed to the protection of natural environments, the talented nature photographer will donate a majority of profits generated by sales on his online store to Appalachian Corridor and QuebecOiseaux.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“We were pleasantly surprised by Charles\u2019 offer to collaborate,\u201d says Marie-H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Thibeault, Head of Communications and Philanthropy at Appalachian Corridor. \u201cHis love of nature is in full concordance with our conservation mission, and we are very grateful for his generosity. We are proud to be associated with a photographer who brings out so well the beauty and fragility of the nature that surrounds us”, she adds.<\/p>\n

For Charles Dion “each year, the seasons, bird migration and natural phenomena guide my adventures. I criss-cross the vastness of Quebec’s territories to discover new landscapes and animal encounters. These outings have led me to observe the fragility of ecosystems. It is now impossible to deny the interdependence between us and nature.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I wish to put my photographic experiences to good use in the conservation of our great spaces,\u201d he adds. \u201cIt is with great respect for the biodiversity that is found there that the idea of collaborating with organizations whose mission is the preservation of our natural environments in Quebec came to me. My mission is to contribute to awareness through images. To make people discover the beauties of the territory to allow them to better understand the complexity of this interconnection and the stakes related to our presence on these territories.\u201d<\/p>\n

From Charles Dion’s boutique, it is possible to purchase an original photo taken by the photographer and reproduced on satin paper or canvas, in sizes 8 x 12, 12 x 18, 16 x 24 or 24 x 36.<\/p>\n
