22 Oct A UNIQUE PARTNERSHIP TO LAUNCH EDUCATIONAL EDUCATIONAL GAMEBOOKS ON BIODIVERSITY
Appalachian Corridor is proud to announce its partnership with Veritech for the launch of a new series of innovative educational books dedicated to Quebec’s biodiversity. Aimed at students aged 4 to 10, these books are designed to awaken curiosity while raising awareness of the need to protect our environment.
This unique collaboration between Appalachian Corridor, an organization dedicated to the conservation of natural environments, and Veritech, a recognized player in the field of educational games for over 50 years, is a milestone.
Entitled “Curieux de nature”, this series comprises eight books, rich in content and in line with the learning objectives of the Quebec preschool and primary school curriculum.
*Please note that Veritech gamebooks Curieux de nature are only available in French at the moment.
AGE-APPROPRIATE GAMEBOOKS DESIGNED BY EXPERTS
These books are designed to spark children’s curiosity and encourage them to become active players in protecting biodiversity. Through fun, interactive activities, students will have opportunities to discover Quebec’s fascinating ecosystems, learn about endangered species and explore simple actions they can take to help preserve our environment.
Appalachian Corridor is the author of this Curieux de nature series developed by a pedagogical committee of experts in biodiversity, guaranteeing the quality and relevance of the content. The illustrations, by Caroline Soucy, a Bédéis Causa finalist for her work with Pol Polaire, adds an artistic and engaging dimension to this educational experience.
“We had a lot of fun developing the Curieux de nature series for Veritech, and the development of these gamebooks meets our objective of educating and raising awareness of the importance of natural environments in relation to ecological issues as well as the relevance of conservation as an effective solution. Young people are the guardians of tomorrow’s biodiversity!” emphasizes Mélanie Lelièvre, general manager of Appalachian Corridor.
The series features a total of 88 fun activities, exploring themes such as species interactions, ecological connectivity and ecosystem disturbances. These books offer a unique approach, thanks to the Veritech box and its 12 tokens, children validate their knowledge using the correction key on the back of the tokens, making learning easier. This partnership promises to produce a generation of children committed to protecting our precious biodiversity.
Suggested retail price is $17.50 for each gamebook and $32.95 for the Veritech box.
