Michèle Turcotte

Vice President

Since childhood, Michèle Turcotte has been interested in nature and curious about humanity’s place in the planet’s ecosystem. He took an immediate interest in the Appalachian Corridor and the conservation of natural habitats.

As a city councilor (2009–2013) in Saint-Étienne-de Bolton, and later as mayor until 2021, she had the opportunity to get to know the organization better and to appreciate several collaborative efforts that benefited the municipality. She has also been involved in the MRC Memphrémagog’s environmental, cultural, and land-use planning committees.

Professionally, she has notably served as a portfolio manager at the provincial agencies Société de Développement Industriel—which later became Investissement Québec— after having served as director of administration at the Agence québécoise de valorisation industrielle de la recherche (AQVIR) and as a program officer (women’s issues and community organizations) at the Secretary of State, a federal ministry.

A native of Quebec City, she spent a few years in Montreal before settling in Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton, where she has been happy for about 40 years.
