Team Leader, Knowledge and Stewardship

Victor is a biologist specializing in ornithology, chiropterology, and botany. He founded the Eastern Townships Bat Conservation Program and is a member of the Quebec Bat Recovery Team. Species identification is an area that fascinates him.

As the Knowledge and Stewardship Team Leader at Appalachian Corridor, he leads the teams responsible for ecological assessments, monitoring of species of special concern, and monitoring of protected areas. In addition, he is responsible for the road ecology and connectivity component, which were the central themes of his master’s thesis. In particular, he led the drafting of the Highway 10 connectivity plan and advises on wildlife crossing development projects within the organization’s territory. The conservation of natural habitats and the protection of biodiversity are his top priorities.
