Eastman, Quebec (August 5, 2020) – The Ensemble pour la Nature Project is now completed! This $30 million partnership between CNC and the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques has enabled great progress in conservation.
In summary :
- 7,200 HECTARES protected in southern QUÉBEC
- 101 acquisition PROJECTS carried out by 22 PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS
- Projects completed in 55 MUNICIPALITIES affecting nearly 377,000 CITIZENS
- Protection of habitats for more than 76 SPECIES in precarious situations
- MORE THAN 40% of protected areas are WETLANDS
- Preserved and accessible sites close to more than 6 MILLION Quebecers
